Main Library Poetry Circle

August 18 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Join us for monthly poetry discussions, led by docents from the UA Poetry Center. The event is free, and no preparation or knowledge of poetry is necessary.

Everyone is welcome to attend as we read from favorite poets, learn about new poets and share our views. Each participant will receive a packet of the poems to be read and discussed, sourced from the Poetry Center’s world-renowned collection.

On August 18th we will read and discuss the poetry of Ross Gay, author of Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2015), winner of the Kingsley Tufts Award and a finalist for the National Book Award and the National Books Critics Circle Award; Bringing the Shovel Down (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2011); and Against Which (Cavankerry Press, 2006).
